She Forgave The Unforgivable: A loving young Mom's autobiographical account of how she faced her own neglectful and abusive mother.....and Chose Forgiveness!
Waynesville, NC, June 2013: Roberta Brunck of Clyde, NC will debut her autobiographical book, "I Choose Forgiveness" this month via Clear Word Publishing.

Books are available at Blue Ridge Books, Waynesville, NC.

Roberta is a wife and mother to two children. Additionally, she travels all over the southeast speaking and singing regularly in churches on behalf of Broyhill Children's Home.  When Roberta speaks, she shares her life's story of childhood abuse and neglect - and how she came to the place of personal healing by choosing forgiveness. In her new book "I Choose Forgiveness," Roberta gives a more detailed account of her life's story.
Having grown up in an abusive home with a neglectful mother and her mother's cruel boyfriend, Roberta and her siblings lived through a child's hell on earth before the Department of Social Services finally came to the rescue. As Roberta grew into a young adult and began providing the healthy home for her own two children that she herself was denied, she came to the realization that she had to face the pain of her past if she was going to joyfully move forward into her future. "I Choose Forgiveness" is Roberta's intimate and personal account of how she encountered a Savior who modeled what forgiveness looks like...and as Roberta received the forgiveness Jesus Christ offers each of us, she in turn was able to offer that forgiveness to the one person who caused her the most pain: her own mother.

Prepare to be challenged in your own life as you read Roberta's story. It is a practical picture of what daily forgiveness looks like and how it is possible to forgive those who have hurt you the most. You will find that true freedom and joy isn't possible until you have learned the secret that Roberta has learned - the secret of how to let go of the pain of the past - and choose forgiveness.

Meet Tim Swink
Former attorney investigator and author, Tim Swink will read from his debut novel, Curing Time.   “Curing time” is tobacco's season of harvest, a time of transformation, when the leaf is made golden by subjection to fire and heat. In this novel set in North Carolina, tobacco farmer Hume Rankin endures his own curing time in the summer of 1959. When the rains won't come and the crops wilt in the field, he solicits the magic of an old, blind black woman.
